Die am 16. Oktober 1925 in London geborene britische Schauspielerin, Synchronsprecherin und Autorin Angela Lansbury (Bild) ist am 11. Oktober 2022 in Los Angeles gestorben. Ihre Filmkarriere währte von 1944 bis 2018. Einem breiten Publikum wurde sie vor allem durch die Rolle der Jessica Fletcher in der Fernsehserie «Mord ist ihr Hobby» («Murder, She Wrote», 1984–1996) bekannt. Lansbury wurde jeweils sechsmal mit dem Golden Globe Award und dem Tony Award ausgezeichnet, ausserdem dreimal für den Oscar nominiert. 2013 wurde ihr der Ehrenoscar für ihr Lebenswerk zugesprochen. 1995 wurde Angela Lansbury zur «Disney-Legende» ernannt und 2014 als Dame Commander des Order of the British Empire in den britischen Adelsstand erhoben.(*)
