Johnny Otis ist gestorben
In Los Angeles ist am 17. Januar 2012 im Alter von 90 Jahren der US-amerikanische Bandleader, Multiinstrumentalist, Musikproduzent und Talentsucher Johnny Otis (Bild) gestorben, der vor allem in den 1950er-Jahren populär war. 1994 wurde er in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame aufgenommen und erhielt den Pioneer Award der R&B Foundation. 2000 wurde er ausserdem Mitglied der Blues Hall of Fame.
