DIE US-AMERIKANISCHE SCHAUSPIELERIN, KOMIKERIN UND MODERATORIN BETTY WHITE IST GESTORBEN
Die am 17. Januar 1922 in Oak Park (Illinois) geborene US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, Komikerin, Synchronsprecherin und Moderatorin Betty White (Bild) ist am 31. Dezember 2021 in Los Angeles gestorben. Sie wurde hauptsächlich mit Rollen in komödiantischen Fernsehserien und Filmen international bekannt. Dazu gehören zum Beispiel die Darstellung der Rose Nylund in «Golden Girls» oder die der Sue Ann Nivens in der «Mary Tyler Moore Show». Als eine der ersten Produzentinnen hat White neben Lucille Ball den Weg für Frauen im Film- und Fernsehgeschäft hinter der Kamera und in leitenden Positionen geebnet.* White erhielt drei American Comedy Awards, zahlreiche Emmys, 2009 den Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award und 2015 den Grammy Award für das «beste gesprochene Album» für «If You Ask Me (And of Course You Won't)».
