Primavera Locarnese, nuovo evento culturale dedicato al mondo della letteratura e del cinema

La prima edizione di Primavera Locarnese, nuovo evento culturale dedicato al mondo della letteratura e del cinema, avrà luogo dal 21 al 27 marzo 2013 ad Ascona – in particolare al Monte Verità – e a Locarno. Primavera Locarnese è un'iniziativa del Dipartimento dell'educazione, della cultura e dello sport (DECS) del Canton Ticino, della Fondazione Monte Verità, dei Comuni di Ascona e Locarno, dell'Ente turistico Lago Maggiore, del Festival del film Locarno e dell'Associazione Eventi Letterari Monte Verità.

The cultural platform Primavera Locarnese is composed of three distinct but complementary initiatives:

• 21 – 24 march 2013

Monte Verità: Utopias and Magnificent Obsessions is an event organized by the association Eventi Letterari Monte Verità, curated by Irene Bignardi, Paolo Mauri and Joachim Sartorius. The event intends to explore, from a contemporary standpoint, the theme of utopia and the passions and ideals-social, political, literary-feeding it. All the events will take place at the Monte Verità, and in few occasions, in the theaters of Ascona: San Materno and del Gatto.

• 22 – 24 march 2013

Youtopia – Sidebar events A sidebar, and independent event of the literary festival, that aimes to create a space where jung people can explore there literary world, playing with words: heard, written, to express their feelings and their vision of the future.

• 24 – 27 march 2013

The third initiative, L’immagine e la parola (The Image and the Word), was conceived as a spin-off from Festival del film Locarno and is curated by the Festival’s artistic director, Carlo Chatrian. The event will feature screenings, round tables and a closing conference, all focused on the rapport between moving image and written word. Special emphasis is laid on the educational side, with a learning program developed in tandem with the Bellinzona-based Castellinaria youth film festival and involving local schools over three mornings of screenings and discussions. There will also be three workshops with international filmmakers, reserved for film school students and young professionals.
