They will present:
«Le projet notrehistoire.ch»
Abstract:
Notrehistoire.ch is the first participative platform to provide an audiovisual archive of the 20th century history of Suisse Romande. For the first time in
Switzerland, individuals and institutions (museums, libraries, TV, radio, etc)
can share their archives in an ambitious project to create a living picture and
an historical portrait of social, political, economic, sporting and cultural
life in western Switzerland during the 20th century. With www.notrehistoire.ch,
it is now possible to share and make these treasures available to the web 2.0
social community.
A short bio of the presenters:
After having completed studies in Latin, Greek and Ancient History at the University of Fribourg, in Switzerland, Françoise Clément moved to Geneva and began her career in the archives of the local radio station (RSR) from 1987 to 1989. In 1993, she joined the Red Cross as a delegate and committed herself to missions abroad. Upon returning to Switzerland in 1998, she spent a year and a half working at Memoriav , an association devoted to the safeguard of the audio visual heritage of Switzerland. At long last and very happily, Francoise Clement moved on to the Swiss tv (TSR) and become Director of the archives in 2002. Since 2010, Françoise Clément is responsible for both the swiss french tv and radio archives.
Claude Zurcher began in the print media in 1989. Chief editor of several
publications, of which a magazine of art, he worked in the edition before
joining the Archives project of the Swiss French Television, in 2005. On the website
of archives, he publishes a vast choice of documents of the TSR covering the
period 1954 in our days. In 2009, with Françoise Clément, he launches the
platform notrehistoire.ch which he gets the editorial responsibility. At the
same time as his work on the website, Claude Zurcher pursues his activity of
editor and commentator.
