Die 1948 in Boston (USA) geborene US-amerikanische Sängerin und Songschreiberin Donna Summer (Bild) ist heute in Florida gestorben. Sie hat, oft als «Disco Queen» bezeichnet, die Hitparaden der ganzen Welt erobert und weltweit nach voneinander unabhängigen Schätzungen über 130 Millionen Schallplatten verkauft.
