Der am 30. Juli 1939 in Kingston (New York) geborene US-amerikanische Filmregisseur, Drehbuchautor, Filmproduzent, Schauspieler sowie Filmkritiker und -historiker Peter Bogdanovich (Bild) ist am 6. Januar 2022 in Los Angeles gestorben. Seine grössten Erfolge als Regisseur feierte er Anfang der 1970er-Jahre während der Phase des «New Hollywood» mit den Filmen «Die letzte Vorstellung», «Is’ was, Doc?» und «Paper Moon». Bogdanovich drehte auch Dokumentarfilme und verfasste einige Sachbücher zu Filmthemen und Filmschaffenden.*
