LOCARNO79: DER PARDO D’ORO GEHT AN «NU E LOCUL TAU AICI» VON FLORIN ȘERBAN

Elf Tage und elf Nächte besuchte das Publikum die Kinosäle von Locarno und erlebte Begegnungen mit einigen der prägendsten Persönlichkeiten des internationalen Kinos und der Filmindustrie. Höhepunkt zum Abschluss des Festivals war die Auszeichnung des rumänischen Films «You Don’t Belong Here» mit dem Hauptpreis Pardo d’Oro.

Mit «Nu e locul tau aici» kehrt der vielfach ausgezeichnete Regisseur Florin Serban nach acht Jahren zum Spielfilm zurück. Das eindringliche Vater-Sohn-Drama überzeugte die Jury des Concorso Internazionale durch «die Kraft des Drehbuchs, die Einzigartigkeit der Vision und die aussergewöhnliche Beherrschung der filmischen Sprache» und wurde mit dem Hauptpreis des Festivals geehrt.

Der Special Jury Price ging an «A Margem do Rio» (The Riverbank) von Matheus Farias und Enock Carvalho. Der Pardo für Best Direction wurde Hong Sangsoo für «Nun Dul Dega Eomne» (Nowhere to Lay My Eyes) vergeben. Die zwei Best Performance Awards erhielten einerseits Kim Minhee für «Nun Dul Dega Eomne», andererseits Monica Bellucci für «Ketticè» von Giovanni Tortorici. Der Pardo d’Oro im Concorso Cineasti del Presente und der Swatch First Feature Award wurden beide «La ilusión de un verano sin fin» (The Illusion of an Everlasting Summer) von Alessandra Sanguinetti verliehen.

Nazzaro, künstlerischer Leiter: «Diese spannenden und zeitgemässen Auszeichnungen stehen in engem Dialog mit den Veränderungen unserer Zeit, die sowohl die Filmindustrie sowie unsere Welt prägen. Ob das Rumänien von ‹Nu e locul tau aici›, das Brasilien von ‹A Margem do Rio› oder das Südkorea von ‹Nun Dul Dega Eomne› – die Jury hat die Bedeutung von filmischer Form und Sprache hervorgehoben und zugleich Werke ausgezeichnet, die ein breites Publikum erreichen. Die zahlreichen ausverkauften Vorstellungen und die grosse Resonanz während des gesamten Festivals haben dies eindrucksvoll bestätigt.»

Der Abend auf der Piazza Grande endet am 15. August mit der Verleihung des Prix du Public UBS. Anschliessend wird als Abschlussfilm «Ni vue, ni connue» (All About Corinne) von Marc Fitoussi, mit Isabelle Huppert und Sandrine Kiberlain in den Hauptrollen, gezeigt.

Die 80. Ausgabe des Locarno Film Festival findet vom 4. bis 14. August 2027 statt.
